![]() I run several ICOM radios and they always put that information in about the same place on their manual. First if you would get your 756pro III Manuel out and look on page 110 you will see it’s CI-V port listed. Good morning Bob, Sounds like you are making progress in your set up. Your sound card output will key your transmitter. Your CV-I port is only used to control your radio frequency not transmitting. My question to you is your cable between your computer and sound card home made or purchased from the modem manufacturer to match your radio. You can fine tune this after you get it working correctly. Under VARA set up make sure you have selected your sound card for inside the VARA modem Also make sure your drive level is about 3/4 over to the right. ![]() Alway use your computer on board sound card as your default for Windows This can be very annoying to other hams on the same frequency hearing “You Got Mail”. The reason for this if you have your radio turned on and boot up your computer all of the sounds during your computer boot up will be transmitter out over the air. First I would NOT recommend setting your Digimode 4 as your window default souldcard. ![]() Good morning Bob, I have a IC-756 pro 3 with a SignaLink and haven’t had any issues with it using VARA HF.
